BELIEVERS ALWAYS FACE PERSECUTION BY DISBELIEVERS
I seek refuge in Allah, from satan the rejected.
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Throughout the human history, Quran tells us that those who believed in God and His revelations, and His messengers have always been persecuted by disbelievers. The persecution may vary; it can be denial of rights that others have, or it can be extreme like torture, evictions, banishment from land or even killings. Sometimes disbelievers can threaten in different ways, so that believers revert from their faith in God, abandon the messenger and join the majority.
For the believers, the persecution is a Test from the Almighty to see if they steadfastly persevere in the face of hardship and adversity in order to prove their sincerity to God, and His commands. On the other hand, those who persecute the believers incur a gross sin, which will not be forgiven by God, unless they sincerely repent immediately and become believers.
Today, I shall recite the appropriate verses from the Quran to show you the different nature of persecution suffered by the believers, and the hatred, animosity and jealousy presented by the disbelievers. Instead of giving numerous mathematical revelations associated with the verses, I shall mark the opening and closing verses with God’s miracles to show you the Truth, in order to finish the khutbah within the time limits, Insha Allah.
HATING AND OPPOSING FOR BELIEF IN GOD
85:8 They hated them for no other reason than believing in ALLAH, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
85:9 To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. And ALLAH witnesses all things.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 16 and 17, revealing the diff. of 1, our faith in the One Supreme Allah.
Revealed: The messenger's letters up to Allah in each verse are 19 and 14, revealing the Sacred Codes upon which our belief is based, in accordance with Allah’s will and approval. Praise be to Allah.
The Believers Respond
5:59 Say, “O people of the scripture, do you not hate us because we believe in ALLAH, and in what was revealed to us, and in what was revealed before us, and because most of you are not righteous?
Disbelievers challenge God’s Revelations and argue
40:56 Surely, those who argue against GOD’s revelations without proof, are exposing the arrogance that is hidden inside their chests, and they are not even aware of it. Therefore, seek refuge in GOD; He is the Hearer, the Seer.
40:69 Have you noted those who argue against GOD’s proof, and how they have deviated?
47:28 This is because they followed what angered GOD and hated the things that please Him. Consequently, He has nullified their works.
Disbelievers hate the Believers for reciting & believing in “all of God’s Revelations”
22:72 When our revelations are recited to them, clearly, you recognize the wickedness on the faces of those who disbelieve. They almost attack those who recite our revelations to them. Say, “Shall I inform you of something much worse? Hell is promised by GOD for those who disbelieve; what a miserable destiny.”
Advice to Believers: 3:118 O you who believe, do not befriend outsiders who never cease to wish you harm; they even wish to see you suffer. Hatred flows out of their mouths and what they hide in their chests is far worse. We thus clarify the revelations for you, if you understand.
3:119 Here you are loving them, while they do not love you, and you believe in all of the scripture. When they meet you they say, “We believe,” but as soon as they leave, they bite their fingers out of rage towards you. Say, “Die in your rage.” GOD is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
3:120 When anything good comes your way they hurt, and when something bad happens to you they rejoice. If you steadfastly persevere and maintain righteousness, their schemes will never hurt you. GOD is fully aware of everything they do.
These are very important verses and I want to enlighten you by proving and confirming what it means when God says: “And you believe in all of the scripture.” It is equally important to show you when the disbelievers get temporarily impressed,

they fake their belief by saying: “We believe.” Only through God’s mathematical language and miracles do we get the precise and truthful meaning.
3:119 Part: “And you believe in all of the scripture.”
Revealed: The GV of Allah letters is exactly 66, bearing His name “Allah”; meaning the messengers believe in everything and all that is revealed by Allah, including each and every verse. But the hypocrites and the disbelievers pick and choose, as they accept the Quran only partially. That is why the verses given by me on different subjects in each week’s khutbah are nearly absent from all the websites on Islam and Quran.
3:119 Part: “When they meet you they say, “we believe.”
Miracle: The GV of Allah letters is again exactly 66; revealing that the disbelievers who fake their belief to admit that they believe in Allah and the messenger, only to revert later on to disbelief, have not only blasphemed Allah, but have lost their souls also. NO ONE CAN FOOL ALLAH, be He Glorified.
47:9 This is because they hated what GOD revealed and consequently He nullifies their works.
When God sends a new revelation and a new messenger, the majority again oppose and hate God’s choice and in what He has revealed. This puts the people to the Test, as they have to submit again. Out of arrogance and ego, most fail to do so, thus nullifying their previous submission and good deeds. Those who do not believe in God’s messenger actually take on a confrontational posture and mock and ridicule the messenger, as well as the believers who decide to submit, as the verses tell us.
Opposition to God’s choice of a human messenger
17:94 What prevented the people from believing when the guidance came to them, is their saying, “Did GOD send a human being as a messenger?”
17:95 Response from God: Say, “If the earth were inhabited by angels, we would have sent down to them from the sky an angel messenger.
25:41 When they saw you, they always ridiculed you: “Is this the one chosen by

17:47-48 Name Calling of Messengers: We are fully aware of what they hear, when they listen to you, and when they conspire secretly – the disbelievers say, “You are following a crazy man.” Note how they describe you, and how this causes them to stray off the path.
25:8 Part & 25:9: The transgressors also said, “You are following a bewitched man.” Note how they called you all kinds of names, and how this led them astray, never to find their way back.
60:1 Part: O you who believe, you shall not befriend My enemies and your enemies, extending love and friendship to them, even though they have disbelieved in the truth that has come to you. They persecute the messenger, and you, just because you believe in GOD, your Lord. If you mobilize to struggle in My cause, seeking My blessings, how can you secretly love them?
Mocking the Revelations and the Believers
45:8 The one who hears GOD’s revelations recited to him, then insists arrogantly on his way, as if he never heard them. Promise him a painful retribution.
45:9 When he learns anything about our revelations, he mocks them. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
46:11 Those who disbelieved said about those who believed, “If it were anything good, they would not have accepted it before us.” Because they were not guided to it, they said, “This is an old fabrication.”
11:27 The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, “We see that you are no more than a human being like us, and we see that the first people to follow you are the worst among us. We see that you do not possess any advantage over us. Indeed, we think you are liars.”
26:111 They said, “How can we believe with you, when the worst among us have followed you?”
26:112-114 (messenger’s response) He said, “How do I know what they did?” Their judgment rests only with my Lord, if you could perceive. “I will never dismiss the believers.”
Secret conspiracies against the messengers
58:8 Have you noted those who were enjoined from conspiring secretly, then insist on conspiring? They conspire to commit sin, transgression, and disobedience of the

messenger. When they come to you, they greet you with a greeting other than that decreed by GOD. They say inside themselves, “GOD will not punish us for our utterances.” Their only requital is Hell, wherein they burn; what a miserable destiny.
Criticized for not being rich
2:247 Their prophet said to them, “GOD has appointed Taloot (Saul) to be your king.” They said, “How can he have kingship over us when we are more worthy of kingship than he; he is not even rich?” He said, “GOD has chosen him over you, and has blessed him with an abundance in knowledge and in body.” GOD grants His kingship to whomever He wills. GOD is Bounteous, Omniscient.
18:34 Once, after harvesting, he boastfully told his friend: “I am far more prosperous than you, and I command more respect from the people.”
Disbelievers try to banish the messengers from their land to get rid of them
17:76 They almost banished you from the land to get rid of you, so they could revert as soon as you left.
17:77 This has been consistently the case with all the messengers that we sent before you, and you will find that our system never changes.
In addition to the above verses regarding the behavior of the disbelievers towards the messengers, I shall now recite a few verses on their behavior towards the believers, who follow the messengers. These include verses on jealousy, criticism for being moral and pure, for being charitable and evicting them from their homes.
2:109 Jealousy: Many followers of the scripture would rather see you revert to disbelief, now that you have believed. This is due to jealousy on their part, after the truth has become evident to them. You shall pardon them, and leave them alone, until GOD issues His judgment. GOD is Omnipotent.
27:56 Criticism for being pure: The only response from his people was their saying, “Banish Lot’s family from your town; they are people who wish to be pure.”
9:79 Criticizing the charitable: Those who criticize the generous believers for giving too much, and ridicule the poor believers for giving too little, GOD despises them. They have incurred a painful retribution.
22:40 Eviction from homes: They were evicted from their homes unjustly, for no reason other than saying, “Our Lord is GOD.” If it were not for GOD’s supporting of

some people against others, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and masjids – where the name of GOD is commemorated frequently – would have been destroyed. Absolutely, GOD supports those who support Him. GOD is Powerful, Almighty.
63:7 Economic sanctions against the believers: They are the ones who say, “Do not give any money to those who followed the messenger of GOD, perhaps they abandon him.” However, GOD possesses the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend.
It is now proven through the verses that the messengers and the believers who reverently believe in God do suffer persecution in some form or fashion on Earth. The Most Merciful has given us a short prayer to implore Him so that we can avoid this test and hardship. In the last two ending verses, I will show you the importance of this verse, and the punishment that is decreed for the disbelievers who persecute the messenger and the believers.
60:5 “Our Lord, let us not be oppressed by those who disbelieved, and forgive us. Our Lord, You are the Almighty, Most Wise.”
Revealed: The Allah letters are exactly 19, proving that most of us suffer because we do not implore God with this prayer, as prescribed by Him.
85:10 (Ending Verse) Surely, those who persecute the believing men and women, then fail to repent, have incurred the retribution of Hell; they have incurred the retribution of burning.
Revealed: The Allah letters are exactly 19, proving the punishment that is reserved for the disbelievers who persecute the messenger and the believers. Note: This is the last occurrence of a verse having the Allah letters as 19, before the end of Quran.
