RELIGIOUS QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (PART 1)
I seek refuge in Allah from satan the rejected.
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
Today’s sermon is devoted to answering the questions posed by a believing person. The questions may be few and simple to ask, but the answers sometimes can be very detailed, as it may involve more than one verse. Though I do not mind answering any questions on Islam through the Quran, I advise the believers to refrain from asking questions that are based on hearsay, conjecture, or self-opinion. You should not ask questions that are based on fabrications of the parents or the religious scholars, and have their basis of origin from the human hadiths, and come from unauthorized humans. The believers should be familiar with the laws of God given in the Quran, and should reject all fabricated teachings that cannot be verified from the Quran. If you read verse 5:101, the answers to most questions will become obvious to you in due time, if you are sincere in your faith. You have the right to ask the messenger of God for guidance and enlightenment, as long as the questions are relevant in enhancing your knowledge and understanding, without wasting his time. If you implore God to bless you with wisdom and knowledge from His enlightening scripture, besides being an act of worship, you could benefit from God whose mercy is essential to your following the guidance. Whatever and however I explain to you also depends on God’s mercy whether you will accept the answer to be correct and satisfactory. True believers do not reject anything the messenger says, and reverence God by praising Him. Today, I will answer some questions, and the rest will be answered in the following weeks, until they are finished.
QUESTION: Where are the specified four sacred months of Hajj ‘by name’ explained in the Quran? In the verses with reference to Hajj, it is instructed to perform the pilgrimage during the 4 sacred months, but the months are not named. However, Rashad points out the months in Appendix 15.
ANSWER: Commands, facts, and worship practices that are not fully detailed or explained in the Quran are left out for a reason by God. It is left up to God’s messengers to explain to the believers under His inspiration, approval, and authority. Rashad was a messenger of God, and whatever he said was truthful; there should be no doubts in your minds. How else would you understand the details of the worship practices except through God, who revealed the scripture? If you doubt the messenger’s words or explanations, you have not really believed in God’s
messenger.
The Sacred Months for Hajj are indeed given in Appendix 15 under the Topic of pilgrimage: Hajj and Umrah. They are the 12th, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd months of the Islamic Calendar, being Zul-Hijjah, Muharram, Safar, and Rabi I. During these 4 sacred months, the Hajj should be observed to comply with God’s commands. If it is done in any other months, it would nullify your worship of God, because of disobedience. Please read the entire topic to fully know and understand the rites of Hajj and Umrah. It tells you how to perform it.
QUESTION: In verse 2:180 it says, “It is decreed that when death approaches, you shall write a will for the benefit of the parents and relatives, equitably. This is a duty upon the righteous.” Regarding the opening statement in the verse, “how does one know when death may approach him / her?”
ANSWER: No one knows when death finally comes to any human, except GOD. Some people can foresee death approaching when they are terminally sick or at old age; others can die through many other ways, including accidents and disease. Since the Quran’s laws are for the believers, they should always be ready for death anytime, as it can come in many different ways, and to be prepared for it. The believers are here to prepare for the Hereafter, which means, spending each day of their lives in the cause of God. This includes looking forward to death when God chooses to end the life span. Once the message has been delivered to them and they have accepted it, it is time to carry out God’s commands in a faithful manner without procrastinating or putting off. I will recite a set of verses that form part of this command. The essential part of this command is that other believers have to hear your will, which means that the person making a will has to do it when he/she is alive, as well as the believers entrusted with the task of carrying it out after your death. The “Islamic will” is a test for the believers entrusted with the task of carrying it out on behalf of the dead person. If they corrupt the will or alter it after his / her death, they commit a sin and may end up in Hell, for failing to act as a believer. The verses surrounding 2:180 are sacredly marked to enlighten us.
2:180 It is decreed that when death approaches, you shall write a will for the benefit of the parents and relatives, equitably. This is a duty upon the righteous.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 23.
2:181 If anyone alters a will he had heard, the sin of altering befalls those responsible for such altering. GOD is Hearer, Knower.
2
Revealed: The Allah letters are 19. The verses above are marked by God with His letters 23 and 19, these are values of “Alone” and “One”, and bear testament to the One God who is Alone, without having any partners.
Revealed: The verses are further surrounded with Aleefs 12 + 7 = 19. Glory be to God.
2:181 If anyone alters a will he had heard, the sin of altering befalls those responsible for such altering. GOD is Hearer, Knower.
2:182 If one sees gross injustice or bias on the part of the testator, and takes corrective action to restore justice to the will, he commits no sin. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 19 and 18, revealing the diff. of 1. Moreover, the numbers 19 and 18 are the values of “Waahed” and “Wahidun”, both meaning “ONE”, for the ONE GOD.
5:106 O you who believe, witnessing a will when one of you is dying shall be done by two equitable people among you. If you are traveling, then two others may do the witnessing. After observing the Salat (Contact Prayer), let the witnesses swear by GOD, to alleviate your doubts: “We will not use this to attain personal gains, even if the testator is related to us. Nor will we conceal GOD’s testimony. Otherwise, we would be sinners.”
5:107 If the witnesses are found to be guilty of bias, then two others shall be asked to take their places. Choose two persons who were victimized by the first witnesses, and let them swear by GOD: “Our testimony is more truthful than theirs; we will not be biased. Otherwise, we will be transgressors.”
5:108 This is more apt to encourage an honest testimony on their part, fearing that their oath may be disregarded like that of the previous witnesses. You shall observe GOD and listen. GOD does not guide the wicked.
QUESTION: God mentions in 83:7-9 that: “Indeed, the book of the wicked is Sijjeen. Do you know what Sijjeen is? A numerically structured Book.” In 83:18-20, it says: “Indeed, the book of the righteous will be in Elleyyeen. Do you know what Elleyyeen is? A numerically structured Book.”
What are “Sijjeen” and “Elleyyeen”?
In what reference are they mentioned?
ANSWER: The Quran, as well as all other scriptures of God, have all been mathematically composed and structured, providing Proof that they are from GOD. They are beyond the capability of humans and jinns to imitate or reproduce in a
3
similar way, though the devils (humans & jinns) have the capability of distorting them. When God names anything, be it chapter names, or the words assigned to the verses in the chapters, or the spellings of the words, we should not ask: “Why, and in what reference are they mentioned?” We just believe the way God has given His words, and remember the oaths we made with Him, one of them being - “we hear and we obey”. This means, that the believers should follow whatever God has revealed and commands, and not ask irrelevant or inappropriate questions, lest the devil corrupts them.
In response to the believer’s question: God chose the words – “Sijjeen” and “Elleyyeen” - as He has chosen everything else. He decides to create whatever He likes, and decides upon the variety and the number of creations. He has absolute authority over all commands and matters. The fact to note is that these words appear in the chapter called “The Cheaters”. God knows that the vast majority of humans will cheat their souls, therefore, He chose to mention these words in this particular chapter.
By marking these sets of 3 and 3 verses with the profound proof of Aleef, God has issued a profound warning to the disbelievers not to doubt His words.
Revealed: For verses 83:7‐9: the Aleefs are 7. For verses 83:18‐20: the Aleefs are 8. The Aleefs for each set of verses are 7 and 8, revealing the diff. of 1.
The believers should never doubt God’s words; especially after He has proven them. I will give you another example from these verses. To appreciate the perfect nature of God’s words, reflect on this. He has given 3 verses on the “wicked”, and 3 verses on the “righteous”. The number chosen by Him is 3, out of His wisdom. These are beautiful and straightforward verses, in a smooth Arabic language. Now examine the Miracle and glorify your Lord.
Revealed: For verses 83:7‐9: the Allah letters are 10. For verses 83:18‐20: the Allah letters are 13, revealing the diff. of precisely 3.
Revealed: The messenger’s letters for each set are 20 and 23, revealing the diff. of precisely 3 – Matching!
Can you fathom the Author of the Quran - ALLAH, to whom belongs all Praise (39:67), and is the Most Wise out of all the wise ones (95:8)? When He has proven through His verses that He can calculate, compose, and match the letters of His name and those of His messenger with absolute precision, to reveal the precise
4
difference of 3; can the hypocrites and the disbelievers now remove their doubts and submit to Him fully?
Revealed: The Allah letters for both sets of verses are 10 + 13 = 23. The messenger’s letters for both sets of verses are 20 + 23 = 43. The sum of 23 + 43 = 66, revealing the Glorified Name of the Divine Author of the Quran – ALLAH (Most Praiseworthy).
Revealed: Note that the mention of “wicked” starts on verse 7, and ends with the “righteous” on verse 20. The total number of verses from verse 7 to verse 20 are precisely 14 – revealing the Seven Pairs. Also note, that the verse on the “righteous” is verse 18. This is placed and inscribed by God to be the 19th verse from the end of the chapter, thereby proving the Sacred Codes.
To alert the wicked and to warn them, as they do not believe in the mathematical revelations of GOD and His miracles, let me show you another profound Miracle of GOD. After the end of the mention of the “wicked” in verses 83:7-9, I am going to write all verses up to verse 14, being the number 14. The first statement in this set says: “Woe on that day to the rejectors,” and the last in this set says: “Indeed, their hearts have become shielded by their sins.”
83:10 Woe on that day to the rejectors.
83:11 They do not believe in the Day of Judgment.
83:12 None disbelieves therein except the transgressor, the sinful.
83:13 When our revelations are recited to him, He says, “Tales from the past!”
83:14 Indeed, their hearts have become shielded by their sins.
Note the Miracle: The Aleefs (Sign of Absoluteness of God) are: 0 + 2 + 4 + 8
+ 5 = 19.
Have you seen how God has matched the 19 Aleefs precisely on verse 14, to reveal the hidden secret of the Divine Codes, in order to warn the hypocrites and the disbelievers? This should give you some insight to the choosing of the verse numbers which have been deliberately selected to appear for the wicked starting from verse 7, rather than the righteous. Look one more time:
Revealed: The Allah letters for each verse are: 3 + 4 + 7 + 14 + 10 = 38. Can you see that the difference between 19 Aleefs and 38 Allah letters is precisely 19 again?
God has proven once again the perfect nature of His revelations, but the hypocrites and the disbelievers continue to doubt His words. He has shown the precise count of
5
certain letters up to certain verses, in order to reveal the deliberate inscription of the Sacred Codes. These should remove the doubts of those who cannot fathom numerical records for the wicked and the righteous. God also knows that the hearts of the wicked have become so closed and shielded by their sins, that He specially marked the last verse in the set again with the name letters of the messenger, to reveal the Sacred Codes.
83:14 Indeed, their hearts have become shielded by their sins.
Special Marking: The verse number is 14, and messenger’s letters are 19 –
revealing the Sacred Codes.
Note verses that follow after each set. After the set of verses on the “wicked”, and the “righteous”, these are the accompanying verses:
83:10 Woe on that Day to the rejectors (the disbelievers).
83:21 To be witnessed by those close to Me (the believers).
Proven: The Allah letters are 3 and 4, revealing the diff. of 1. Proven: The messenger’s letters are 12 + 7 = 19.
GOD has just revealed a Miracle: The “Revelation of 1”, through Allah letters, as well as the Miracle of 19, by connecting the messenger’s letters through both verses to add up to 19, as shown above. This proves that “those close to GOD, and chosen by Him”, will have access to “His Record” in order to witness them.
The disbelievers who cheated their souls by disbelieving and disobeying God’s commands, will be surprised that God had recorded everything they did in this life, and recorded it in numbers - mathematics is an unlimited science, and numbers are infinite. To give you a glimpse of the precision of numbers and mathematics, God will give you an example through verse 18:49 by revealing the “specific code”, taking into account His letters and those of the human messenger, like myself. Consider this:
18:49 Part 1: The record will be shown, and you will see the guilty fearful of its contents. They will say, “Woe to us. How come this book leaves nothing, small or large, without counting it?”
The Exact Count: The Allah letters are 28, and messenger’s letters are 42, revealing the exact and precise diff. of 14 – the Seven Pairs. This Sign and
6
precise count offers the believers certainty to believe in everything God has stated through the verses of the Quran.
The Exact Count: The GV of Allah letters is 309 – this number is the years left until the Day of Judgment (year 2280) from 1971 when Rashad’s soul was summoned to the highest heaven by God, to be given the revelations as a “messenger of the Covenant”. The number 309 signifying the date of the Day of Judgment is in accordance with verse 18:25 (See page 406, paragraph 2, under “The Covenant Fulfilled”, in the “Authorized English Translation of the Quran,” by Rashad Khalifa).
The clock is ticking for the 309 years left from 1971 until the Day of Judgment and Resurrection. From 1974, when the Miracle of 19 became a reality (see Page 381, Paragraph 1, of the English Translation of Quran), there are 306 years left until the Day of Judgment. This number is the GV of the messenger’s name, Makbool Husain – the messenger sent with the “Ultimate Miracles”. The Day of Judgment is precisely marked with 306 years to coincide with the messenger’s name, Glory be to God.
Similarly, the verses left in the Scripture, after the last mention of the word “Quran” in 85:21 are precisely 306, to fit in with the messenger’s name again, and to reveal the serious nature of this message ‐ all Praise and Glory be to Allah.
18:49 Part 2: They will find everything they had done brought forth.
18:49 Part 3: Your Lord is never unjust towards anyone.
The Exact Count: The Allah letters are 6 and 5, revealing the diff. of 1 – Praise be to Allah.
The Exact Count: The messenger’s letters are 8 and 7, revealing the diff. of 1 – Glory be to Allah.
Have you been taken aback with God’s exact count presented above? This did not happen just now; in fact, everything has been predetermined, calculated, and counted before the creation. This scripture was revealed centuries ago, and God has been Most Merciful by providing the Proofs to confirm everything He has stated in the Quran.
The answer also lies in the fact that GOD has named the chapters Himself, with the mathematical component in them, separating the “believers” from the “disbelievers”.
7
8
Revealed: The GV of the chapter name, “Believers” is 223 and that of “Disbelievers” is 388, revealing the diff. of 165, which represents the clear value of “Al‐Samad (Absoluteness) and of the truthful Shahadah”. If you look at the sum of the digits of each number: 223 – sum of digits is 7; and 388 – sum of digits is 19. This covers both the mathematical Codes also.
Also, verse 64:2 states: 64:2 Part: “He is the One who created you,”
Revealed: The GV of ALLAH letters is 66 - it is ALLAH who created everything, including the humans.
64:2 Part: Then among you there is the disbeliever,
64:2 Part: And the believer.
Revealed: The Allah letters are 1 and 0, revealing the diff. of 1 – the Creator is ONE, and has marked His name letters in the word “disbeliever” with an Aleef only, to signify the disbelief of the disbelievers to the Eternal Existence, as well as the Eternal Authority of GOD over His creations.
Revealed: The GV of “Kaafir” (disbeliever) is 301 and the GV of “Muhmen” (believer) is 136, revealing the diff. of 165 again, Praise be to Allah. This time, the sum of the digits of both numbers is (3+0+1) + (1+3+6) = 14 – revealing the Seven Pairs.
In the end, let us examine the words – Sijjeen and Elleyyeen – to appreciate the mathematical component.
Sijjeen & Elleyyeen
Revealed: The Arabic letters are 4 and 5, revealing the diff. of 1. Revealed: The Allah letters are 0 and 1, revealing the diff. of 1. Revealed: The messenger’s letters are 3 and 4, revealing the diff. of 1.
With so many incontrovertible proofs presented above, the believers should be satisfied with God’s choice of the words - Sijjeen and Elleyyeen.
Watch out for more answers to your questions in next week’s khutbah, Insha Allah.
Peace be upon the messengers.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Universe.
