THE COMMAND OF FASTING IN THE MONTH OF RAMADAN

I seek refuge in Allah, from satan the rejected.

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

9:36 Part: The count of months, as far as ALLAH is concerned, is twelve. This has been ALLAH’s law, since the day He created the heavens and the earth. Four of them are sacred. This is the perfect religion; you shall not wrong your souls during the Sacred Months.

9:37 Altering the Sacred Months is a sign of excessive disbelief; it augments the straying of those who have disbelieved. They alternate the Sacred Months and the regular months, while preserving the number of months consecrated by ALLAH. They thus violate what ALLAH has consecrated. Their evil works are adorned in their eyes. ALLAH does not guide the disbelieving people.

The count of months is clearly stated to be 12 with 4 being Sacred to observe the Hajj and the Umrah. Hajj should be observed in the specified months, as per 2:197. How do you determine the time of Hajj and the Sacred Months? God’s time clock and the means of calculation are the sun and the moon, the day, and the night.

2:189 They ask you about the phases of the moon! Say, “They provide a timing device for the people, and determine the time of Hajj. It is not righteous to beat around the bush; righteousness is attained by upholding the commandments, and by being straightforward. You shall observe GOD, that you may succeed.

6:96 Part: He rendered the sun and the moon to serve as calculation devices. Such is the design of the Almighty, the Omniscient.

10:5 He is the One who rendered the sun radiant, and the moon a light, and He designed its phases that you may learn to count the years and to calculate. GOD did not create all this, except for a specific purpose. He explains the revelations for people who know.

17:12 We rendered the night and the day two signs. We made the night dark, and the day lighted, that you may seek provisions from your Lord therein. This also establishes for you a timing system, and the means of calculation. We thus

explain everything in detail.

I have stated in earlier khutbahs (sermons) that as true believers, you are supposed to be conscious of God’s signs of night and day, the sun and the moon and everything else created by Him. The total worship of God can only be achieved by following all the verses in the Quran. Each and every verse matters in augmenting your worship, and neither time, age, nor human science can change, overrule, or supercede God’s Signs and His Commands. The above verses have clearly defined what our calculation devices should be in determining the months and the years. As verse 10:5 states, God did not create all this, except for a specific purpose. How could anyone dare challenge God’s system and purpose. Only the disbelievers dare to it.

It is easily noticeable throughout the Quran that though God is the One who blessed the humans with the knowledge to manufacture all kinds of modern instruments, technologies, and gadgetry; He has commanded His servants to go by His Signs – the ones created by Him directly without human participation. All followers of the Quran know and believe that God is the Knower of the Future, and of all Secrets and Declarations; therefore, He fully knows what He has blessed the humans with, at any given time or age. Since we all agree with this attribute of God, ask yourself why He chose not to mention the names of any future, modern, scientific tools; why He chose not to mention the watch, clock, or atomic clock for time purposes, why He did not mention the human calendars, why He did not mention the calculators, why He did not mention the compass for direction and to figure out the Qiblah, and so on? Out of the millions of instruments and scientific technology in our possession, not a single one has been mentioned by God – in fact, they have been left out for a specific purpose. The ones manufactured by humans with God’s will is really the ADORNMENT that He mentions so often in the Quran.

18:7 WE HAVE ADORNED EVERYTHING ON EARTH, IN ORDER TO TEST THEM, AND THUS DISTINGUISH THOSE AMONG THEM WHO WORK RIGHTEOUSNESS.

This tells us that God is the One who has given the humans everything they have – the scientific instruments, gadgets, technologies, machines, telephones, cameras, satellites, space shuttles and the list is unending. These are meant as a Test, as the verse tells us, to see if you give priority to the worldly things over God’s laws. Working righteousness can only be achieved by belief in God, and by following and obeying all His laws in the Quran.

The only instrument or machine mentioned in the Quran in coded words, is the “COMPUTER”. The sole purpose for sending the computer to the humans was: “to declare that the people are not certain about God’s revelations”. The humans have greatly benefited from this machine; in fact, it has revolutionized the world, whereby all departments of governments, science, business, technology, education,

communication, etc. are dependent on the computer. The Miracle of 19, confirming and proving the Quran to be the true word of God was revealed with the help of the computer through a former messenger, Rashad. The masses of the world have failed to believe, and the few who believed with him have since gone astray after his death. Now the computer has become an ADORNMENT in most households of today, whereby the majority using and benefiting from it do not even know that it was a blessing of God. They should have accepted this gift of God and used it to believe in Him, but God proved the Truth through verse 27:82.

Many astronauts have gone into outer space. They feel compelled to praise the stars, the galaxies and whatever else they see out there, and have seen the perfect harmony and balance that exists in the universe. But they have been unable to believe in God and His words here on earth. Other scientists have been blessed with phenomenal discoveries by God, but they also have been unable to believe in Him. The unappreciative cannot even see and realize that whatever they possess, comes from God. The only way that science could benefit the humans is if they use it to believe in God and to augment their belief. Ironically, this is not the case. In any generation, there are always a “FEW” who believe (not because of science, but based on all of God’s proofs in the heavens and the earth, and through His Scripture), while the vast majority stays in disbelief, no matter what proof they are given, scientific or not.

The majority of humans lack basic reasoning and logic. They fail to realize that God’s Signs in the heavens and the earth have always been there since He created them, from DAY 1. Anything that He has given and blessed afterwards to improve our lives, cannot bypass, overrule, or supercede the ORIGINAL SIGNS. In fact, the scientific methods used only help to confirm the precise rotation and cycles of heavenly bodies. “Science is relatively new”, while God’s creations offering us lunar and solar calendars of time have been available to humans since He created them. Consider these facts based on the verses of the Quran:

1. There is neither the mention of any of the scientific instruments nor the command to use them in determining, for example the time of Hajj, the month of Ramadan, or direction of Qiblah.
2. As per verse 4:26 Part, which clearly states the system of guidance: “GOD wills to explain things for you, AND TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH PAST PRECEDENTS, and to redeem you” (there is no mention of “future precedents”). All the past precedents are given in the Quran through the past messengers and those chosen by God, which reflect the Truth of God’s words.
3. The Commands to follow God’s Signs are clear and repeated in the Quran. Even the meaning of certain words is defined through the various verses.

4. To alter God’s clear commands by substituting with any of His blessings of science, is distortion of God’s words, and the people responsible guilty of tampering with Quran.

God commands us to follow the “HISTORY OF THE QURAN”, and the “HISTORY OF THE MESSENGERS”.

12:3 Part 1: We narrate to you the most accurate history through the revelation of this Quran.

Accurate History Through Accurate Miracle: The Allah letters are 14, precisely up to the word, “QURAN”.

12:3 Part 2: Before this, you were totally unaware.

Miracle: The Allah letters are 7, revealing the Sacred Code of Seven Pairs through Allah letters of 14 and 7, in each part, from within the important verse on “most accurate history”.

Miracle: The Allah letters for the entire verse are 21, a multiple of 7. And the messenger’s letters are 38, being a multiple of 19, thereby revealing both the Sacred Codes.

6:34 Part: The history of My messengers thus sets the precedents for you.

Proven Truth: The messenger’s letters are precisely 14, revealing the Seven Pairs.

The Message: The Allah letters are 5 and 4, revealing the diff. of 1 – a PROFOUND MESSAGE revealed by the Omnipotent Lord through this messenger, confirming everything from the past.

GOD HAS SAID that the majority of the people on earth will divert you from His path, as they follow only conjecture and only guess. This is a dangerous phenomenon that involves the majority of the people. So, who is left out of the minority that you can trust and listen? Not many, unfortunately. This small minority of people may say that they believe in Quran, but as soon as God sends a messenger,

their hypocrisy is exposed. They even try to lead the messenger astray or become his enemy. They will try to lead the believers astray also, the ones who choose to believe in the messenger. Verse 2:109 is pointing to the messenger, and 3:100 to the believers.

2:109 Part: Many followers of the scripture would rather see you (the messenger) revert to disbelief, now that you have believed. This is due to jealousy on their part, after the truth has become evident to them. You shall pardon them, and leave them alone, until GOD issues His judgment. GOD is Omnipotent.

3:100 O you who believe, (the believers) if you obey some of those who received the scripture, they will divert you, after having believed, into disbelievers.

Follow up Verse:

3:101 How can you disbelieve, when these revelations of GOD have been recited to you, and His messenger has come to you? Whoever holds fast to GOD will be guided in the right path.

The guided ones will be distinguished through these revelations sent by God, as witnessed by you on this website, and through the sermons.

6:117 Part 1: Your Lord is fully aware of those who stray off His path.

6:117 Part 2: And He is fully aware of those who are guided.

Revealed: The Allah letters are 7 and 6, revealing a diff. of 1 – the ALL- AWARE, LORD OF UNIVERSE.

In reality, you can only count on God and put all your trust in Him. You cannot trust other human beings for your guidance. However, there is an exception; when God authorizes a human to serve as His messenger, then you should trust and obey him as he has nothing to gain personally from you. The message is delivered totally free and so is the guidance. They do not engage themselves in monetary gains from publishing books, or literature, or TV and radio shows, or public speeches or demanding wages from you. Their wage comes from the Lord of the Universe. The only way you can feel secure and respond to the call of God is through the messenger. In a few days time, the month of Ramadan begins. It is for the messenger to make the announcement so that the believers can fulfill their obligations to God.

The importance of the month of Ramadan is that the Quran was revealed in this month. The importance of fasting is that it is a command from God; it demonstrates

your desire of sacrifice in the cause of God; and fasting is one of the ways devised by the Most Merciful to atone for some of your sins, other than the fast of Ramadan.

2:183 O you who believe (the believers who follow the messenger), fasting is decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you, that you may attain salvation.

2:184 Specific days (are designated for fasting); if one is ill or traveling, an equal number of other days may be substituted. Those who can fast, but with great difficulty, may substitute feeding one poor person for each day of breaking the fast. If one volunteers, it is better. But fasting is the best for you, if you only knew.

2:185 Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the Statute Book. THOSE WHO WITNESS THIS MONTH SHALL FAST THEREIN. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

The ending of verse 2:185 explains the reasons for this decree from God, as I have just expressed in an earlier paragraph. The words chosen by God, like: “fulfill your obligations (meaning your covenants)”, “glorify God for guiding you”, and “to express your appreciation”, are typically used relative to the guidance through the messengers. If you look at the linkages to these words and the language used, through other verses in the Quran, you will agree with me. But I will make it easy for you to understand, before you have to look for linkages, as per God’s will. The purpose stated at end of verse 185 is clear, and God will bring out His Sacred Name, ALLAH, through His messenger, to indeed prove that fasting is for believers, just like all the other laws in the Quran are.

2:185 Part: GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

Revealed: The Allah letters are 27, and the messenger’s letters are 39; the sum of 27+39 = 66, ALLAH.

Revealed: The GV of messenger’s letters is 938, which is 14 x 67, a multiple of 14. The GV of messenger’s letters 938 added with GV of Allah letters 449 is 1387 = a multiple of 19. In addition to God’s name being revealed, the two Sacred Codes are also revealed through God and His messenger’s name. Glory be to my Lord.

As the Quran was revealed on the 27th of Ramadan, God confirms this date by inscribing 27 letters of messenger’s name in the appropriate portion of the verse:

2:185 Part: Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book.

Revealed: The messenger’s letters are precisely 27, confirming the revelation of the Quran from God to Muhammad – the prophet and messenger of God.

Revealed: The chapter and the verse numbers on Ramadan are Coded to comply with both of the Sacred Codes. The actual command to fast for specific days in a specific month is in verses 184 and 185. Hence: 2,184 = 14 x 156 and 2,185 = 19 x 115.

Revealed: By adding the digits of the answers or quotients, we get (1+5+6) and (1+1+5) = 19, Glory be to God. After revealing and showing you awesome proofs, God brings you back to number 19, representing His ONENESS, as the Omnipotent, Absolute Lord of the Universe. By converting these numbers 156 and 115 into verse numbers from chapter 2, we get 2:156 and 2:115. Both are important verses, the first one telling us that God is everywhere and the second one telling the believers to stay in touch with God by constantly imploring him, during adversity and affliction, as the verse tells us. The Quran was revealed through the messenger, and so are the subsequent revelations. By comparing the appropriate parts of the verse, the answer is revealed:

2:185 Part 2: Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

Revealed: The GV of Allah letters for each part are: 239 and 566, revealing the diff. of 327, representing the value of “Al-Rasool” – “the messenger”, with GV 327, All of God’s laws have been revealed through the messengers, and they can only be correctly implemented through the messenger, who is guided by God and has His approval. Verse 2:185 also reveals the “revelation of 1”.

The Miracle: 2:185: the Arabic letters in the entire verse are 184, and the verse number is 185, revealing the diff. of 1.

These verses also reveal the name of the messenger at this time.

Revealed: 2:184 The Arabic letters are 122.

Revealed: 2:185 The Arabic letters are 184, the sum of 122 + 184 = 306, revealing the name, Makbool Husain. Praise be to Allah, the Most Glorified.

Fasting is mentioned for “specific days in a specific month.” Let us find out which month it is?

2:184 Part: SPECIFIC DAYS.

2:185 Part: THOSE OF YOU WHO WITNESS THIS MONTH, SHALL FAST THEREIN.

Revealed: The Allah letters are 3 and 6, the sum being 9, and the 9th month is RAMADAN.

How do you witness this month? Remember, the subject of fasting opened with the words, “O you who believe”, in verse 2:183. These words are addressed to the believers, who firmly believe in God’s Absolute Authority to send messengers, and to do as He pleases. These words have a specific meaning and are addressed to a select group of people who are blessed with a messenger and the ones who follow him. The proofs are presented by God:

2:183 Part: O YOU WHO BELIEVE.

Revealed: The Allah letters are precisely 7 and the messenger’s letters are 8, revealing the diff. of 1; those who believe in the Absolute Authority of God through His messengers.

Revealed: This also reveals the PATTERN of 78, which becomes chapter 78 having 40 verses. The GV of Allah letters in the words: “O you who believe,” is precisely 40 also. This signifies the “AGE OF REPENTANCE” (as given in 46:15) and the number 40 is the start of H.M. chapters, revealing the Seven Pairs of the Quranic Initials of H.M, being the Divine Sign given to me. Subhan Allah.

The change of days, months, and years, according to Islamic Calendar is based on the sun, the phases of the moon, rotation of the earth, the night, and the day. Even the Salat times are based on the night and the day, and the position of the sun. The modern-day scientific calculations only confirm what God has already created and put in place, but in no way replace God’s Signs given in the Quran. That is why He

has put the sun and the moon, the night, and the day, in the continuous service of the humans. The word “continuous” is used for this very specific purpose, to nullify the arguments of those who have placed priority of human science over God’s Signs. Human science really confirms what God has created and put in our service to calculate the days, months, and years.

The messenger, under the guidance of God, announces the month of Ramadan, after witnessing it per God’s commands, and the believers then witness the month. Each time, in both verses, after “specific days and those who get the chance to witness the month”, the verses are followed by instructions for those who are ill or traveling, to substitute same number of other days. There are always some who are too ill or weak, and some who may be away from the messenger, traveling. This helps them to still participate in this important command to fast later on. You cannot witness the messenger’s announcement if you are not physically present around him, and the messenger cannot witness the month of Ramadan, until he witnesses and observes all of God’s signs and commands. It is absolutely clear that the command to “WITNESS THE MONTH” is a precondition for fasting and is for the believers. Here is another proof:

Revealed: The GV of the word, WITNESS (in Arabic – “shahaydah”) is 309 and GV of the word THE MONTH (in Arabic – “al-shahar”) is 536. The difference in these values is 227, representing the GV of “Al-Mumineen” – “the Believers”.

As mentioned earlier, the command is for the believers who believe and uphold God’s Absolute Authority through His messengers. When relevant parts of the verses are compared with each other to see God’s revelation emerge out of them, the answer is a clear: 110, those who uphold God’s Absolute Authority, through His Shahadah – LA ELAHA ELLA HOO.

2:184 Part: Specific days; if one is ill or traveling, an equal number of other days may be substituted.

2:185 Part: Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days.

Revealed: The GV of the messenger’s letters are 662 and 772, revealing the diff. of 110 – the Shahadah; those who glorify God for guiding them through a messenger, and to express their appreciation.

Revealed: The GV of Allah letters are 116 and 117, revealing the diff. of 1 – mercy and convenience from God for the believers.

Revealed: The words “month of Ramadan” (shahar ramadan) are also Coded. The GV of these 2 words is 1596, being a multiple of 14 and 19, the two Sacred Codes of God, now revealed through this messenger, Makbool Husain. Glory be to Allah, the Most Sacred.

To observe and witness the PERFECTNESS of God’s proofs, note this: 2:185 Part: “Providing guidance for the people”.   Allah letters are 4 2:185 Part: “Clear teachings”.         Allah letters are 3

Revealed: WHAT IS 4-3-3? It is the GV of the Lord of the Universe – 433, Alhumdo Lillah.

2:185 Part: “Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed”.

Revealed: The GV of Allah letters is 105.

Revealed: The 3 verses on Ramadan are 2:183, 184, 185. Each of them has Allah letters inscribed and Coded as 18 + 26 + 61 to total 105. This number MATCHES the GV of His letters derived from the opening sentence of 2:185, proving the PERFECT STRUCTURING of letters and values. The number 105 is a multiple of 7, and the entire verses as well as messenger’s letters are structured on the Miracle of Seven Pairs. Glory be to my Lord.

*** THE BELIEVERS ARE ADVISED TO PREPARE THEMSELVES FOR FASTING SOMETIME IN THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER; I WILL LET THEM KNOW THE DAY AND DATE AFTER I MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT, INSHA ALLAH.
